Machinery open houses are good at showing you what a machine can do. What they usually can’t show you is whether the jobs feeding that machine are actually making money. This July, we’re bringing that half of the conversation to Sacramento.

Vision Machinery is calling it their biggest open house yet, and the format is what makes these events worth the drive: live machine demonstrations, industry people who actually run shops, and two days to ask the questions you can’t ask a spec sheet.
Catch Jillian Klinar’s session on protecting your margins
Our own Jillian Klinar will be onsite presenting a session on real-time data and how shops can protect profit margins throughout the lifecycle of a project. Margin rarely disappears in one dramatic moment. It leaks, usually through an unbilled change order here and a few dozen labor hours nobody logged against the job there, until the project you bid at 18% closes at 6% and nobody can tell you where the other 12 points went.
Real-time data changes when you find out. Instead of doing the autopsy after the job ships, you see the bleed while there’s still time to reprice the change order or flag the labor overrun. Jillian will walk through what that looks like in practice, from the first estimate to the final invoice. If you’ve ever finished a job and thought “we worked hard on that one, so where’s the money?”, this session is for you.
