Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about INNERGY, Microvellum, and how we help custom woodworking shops run better.

What is INNERGY?
INNERGY is cloud-based business management software built specifically for custom woodworking and architectural millwork shops. It combines ERP, CAD/CAM design tools, and continuing education in one platform so shops can manage their entire operation from estimating to installation without juggling disconnected systems.
How is INNERGY different than a normal ERP?
Most ERP systems are built for generic manufacturing and bolted onto woodworking as an afterthought. INNERGY was built by people who came from the industry and understood the shop floor before they understood the software. That means it speaks the language of millwork from the start: custom job estimating, material yield, production scheduling for one-off work, and job costing that reflects how a woodworking shop actually makes and loses money. Generic ERPs don't know what a stile is. INNERGY does.
What problems does INNERGY solve?
Custom woodworking shops run on tight margins and complex, one-off jobs. When the systems holding everything together are disconnected or manual, the cracks show up fast. INNERGY is built to fix the problems that eat into profitability and growth: Inaccurate estimates that erode margins before a project even starts Poor project visibility that leads to missed deadlines and cost overruns Disconnected workflows between estimating, purchasing, production, and invoicing No real-time data on shop floor performance or job costs Manual processes that slow throughput and create costly errors If any of that sounds familiar, you're not alone. These are the exact failure points INNERGY was designed around.
How much does INNERGY cost?

INNERGY is priced based on the size and needs of your shop, so there's no one-size-fits-all number. To get accurate pricing for your operation, the best next step is a quick conversation with our team. Contact us to get a quote.

Does INNERGY integrate with other software?

Yes. INNERGY integrates with Sage, QuickBooks, and NetSuite. Additional integrations are available -- contact our team for details. Contact us to learn more.

What is Microvellum?
Microvellum is CAD/CAM design-to-manufacturing software built for custom woodworking shops. It connects product design, engineering, and production in one continuous workflow -- generating accurate shop drawings, cut lists, material lists, and CNC machine code directly from your designs. It's part of the INNERGY family of products, built for the engineers, designers, and shop floor teams who need precision and consistency from design all the way through manufacturing.
How does Microvellum work with INNERGY?
Microvellum handles design and manufacturing -- shop drawings, CNC code, material lists, and cut lists. INNERGY ERP handles the business around it -- estimating, job costing, scheduling, purchasing, and invoicing. Together, they cover your operation from design to delivery in one connected ecosystem.
Do I have to buy both INNERGY and Microvellum?
No. Microvellum and INNERGY ERP are separate products and can be purchased independently. That said, many shops use both their design and manufacturing workflows with their business operations.
What types of woodworking shops use INNERGY?
INNERGY is built for custom woodworking and architectural millwork businesses, including: Commercial architectural millwork shops -- custom doors, windows, molding, and architectural wood products High-end residential woodworking shops -- custom cabinetry, built-ins, and finish carpentry Stair builders -- residential and commercial stair manufacturing If your shop builds custom wood products, INNERGY is built for you.
How is INNERGY different from other woodworking software?
Most woodworking shops run on a patchwork of disconnected tools -- separate CAD software, spreadsheets, and generic accounting systems that don't talk to each other. INNERGY replaces all of that with one cloud-based platform built specifically for custom architectural millwork. It's the only solution that unifies ERP and 3D CAD/CAM in a single system, covering estimating, design, project management, shop floor execution, job costing, and installation. Because it's cloud-based, your team can collaborate in real time from the office, shop, or field -- and design changes automatically flow into estimates and project plans, so nothing falls through the cracks. Founded by woodworkers. Built the way your shop actually works.
Can INNERGY handle custom and one-off jobs?

It's actually our specialty. No two millwork shops run the same way, and no two jobs look the same either. INNERGY was built around that reality. Whether you're running high-volume production or managing one-off custom projects with unique dimensions, finishes, and timelines, the system is designed to handle it.

We like to say: no company is too custom for INNERGY.

Is my data secure?

Yes. INNERGY runs on Microsoft Azure, encrypted at every layer, and backed up multiple times daily. For full details, visit our security and legal page.

Can I migrate my existing data into INNERGY?

Yes. INNERGY includes data migration tools for several areas of the system. Most use Excel templates in a specific format to import your existing data cleanly. Your implementation team will walk you through the process.

Does INNERGY work on mobile?
Yes, with some context. INNERGY is accessible from any mobile browser, and our Site Manager app is available for both iOS and Android. That said, most of the ERP screens are designed for larger displays, so while you can access them on a phone, the experience is best on a desktop or tablet.
Do I need a specific browser to use INNERGY?

INNERGY works in any modern browser.
