What Is the AWFS Fair?

The AWFS® Fair is North America’s premier event for the woodworking and millwork industries. Thousands of woodworking professionals, millwork experts, cabinet makers, and innovators from around the globe come together for four days of cutting-edge product showcases, live demonstrations, education, and networking. From CNC technology to software solutions, it’s the ultimate destination to stay ahead of the curve.

I’ve spent countless hours with cabinet shop owners and millwork manufacturers over the years, and two themes come up in virtually every conversation: engineering is becoming more expensive, and it’s a chronic bottleneck. Every time you add a new piece of equipment to your shop floor, it changes your engineering process. Everything you do in the shop has a direct impact on the engineering step – more so than any other part of your operation. And as machinery gets more complex, the engineering effort required to get the same product out to your shop floor just keeps growing.

 

Today, I’m incredibly excited to announce that INNERGY has acquired Microvellum. This acquisition brings together two companies that share a deep commitment to this industry and the craftsmen who make it special.

The INNERGY Team just wrapped up the 2025 Customer Summit and we couldn’t be more proud! Held from February 2nd through the 5th at the Kalahari Resort in Austin, Texas, this year’s Summit exceeded all expectations. Boasting an impressive 550 attendees, 53 education sessions, and 120 companies represented, it’s safe to say that this millwork industry conference was a success!

 

We were thrilled to see the immense growth from last year’s event in St. Cloud, MN, where we welcomed 300 attendees. This year, we were aiming for 400 and with over 500 joining us, it’s clear the buzz surrounding INNERGY is stronger than ever. We were truly honored to have such a diverse group of industry leaders, newcomers, and veterans to learn from and share knowledge with. 

 

The Power of Education: 53 Sessions

At the heart of every INNERGY Summit is the opportunity to learn from industry leaders and peers. Covering a range of topics from cutting-edge trends in architectural woodwork to in-depth discussions on optimizing business operations, there was something for everyone from seasoned experts to new drafters!

A fan-favorite of the event was the Dovetail Custom Wood and Metal guided shop tour. Summit attendees got a behind-the-scenes look at the craftsmanship and artistry that define Texas woodworking. The tour was a huge hit and left everyone feeling inspired and motivated. 

 

Texas-Style Fun: Networking and Racing 

Our educational sessions may have been the backbone of the Summit but networking within the millwork industry and texas-style fun truly brought the event to life. Austin’s vibrant spirit was alive and well as attendees took part in interactive pub crawls and a spirited Pinewood Derby race!

Our attendees not only had fun but also had the perfect opportunity to connect on a personal level and foster new relationships or strengthen old ones.
